I came across a quote this morning, and it provided me with a good reminder.
"The gem cannot be polished
without friction, nor man
perfected without trials."
~ Chinese proverb
It made me think about the tough times that everyone is certainly enduring at any given time. We may or may not even know about the rough patches our friends, family members, or acquaintances are going through, but that doesn't mean they're not happening.
Obviously, some are more serious than others. But perspective is everything. What may be a big ordeal to you, might not even register with someone else, and vice versa. At the risk of sounding preachy: It's not a contest. Respect each other & have compassion. It never hurts.
Sorry if I'm being corny today, but I think that we could all give each other a break once in a while. A quick smile & a hello could change someones day!
I'll leave you with one of my favorite mood-boosting songs. No matter what, always picks me up!
Nas & Damian Marley: Count Your Blessings
Hope you all have a great Thursday! ~ Sabrina
